Responsibilities
Evaluate and access systems of care for the identified developmentally disabled individuals and to increase the competency and capacity of behavioral health care in the community.
- Assist in developing and implementing training which will increase competency and capacity of behavioral health care in the community setting.
- Assist with periodic clinical reviews.
- Assist with the review of behavioral and health practices and policy development in areas defined by the lead County and MOC.
- Coordinate review of behavior health-related risk management processes.
- Analyze aggregate health patterns and trends with state, regional, and other HCQU staff.
- Assist in the development of behavioral health related outcomes to measure the effectiveness of current health care practices.
- Assist in the development of structures and processes to maximize benefits available from HMOs and other community behavioral health resources.
- Outreach to behavioral health medical community to provide consultation and information regarding the HCQU.
- Advocacy, referral and facilitation of access to individualized needs-based behavioral health care.
- Assist in developing and distributing behavioral health-related informational materials to individuals and families.
- Assist with the coordination of Special Needs Units/Members Services Department of Managed Care entities to facilitate timely and successful meetings of behavioral health needs.
- Coordinate and assist in disseminating information on behavioral health best practices by State and regional entities.
- Facilitate collaborative relationships between agencies and local behavioral health care programs.
- Meet regularly with the Clinical Supervisor and keep him/her aware of problems/needs as they arise.

Qualifications
- BSW or BS/BA in related field with case management/behavioral health experience or equivalent in related experience or training
- Act 33 and Act 34 clearance and FBI background check, if applicable
- Valid PA Driver’s license
- Valid Vehicle insurance and registration
