Partners for Development (PfD) is an early start provider PfD provides Child Development Services, Speech Therapy services, and Occupational Therapy services. Our infant development center provides researched-based effective learning strategies to enhance the growth and development of the infant and families in all developmental domains.
The PfD program currently serves families in the San Fernando Valley. What makes us unique is our partnership with Foothill Learning Center. Foothill Learning Center is a preschool center in Sylmar that serves a neurodivergent population from ages 2 to 6.
Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid role for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant located in Sylmar, CA. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will support speech-language pathologists in providing speech and language therapy to infants. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with the assessment and treatment of communication disorders, implementing therapy plans, documenting patient progress, and providing support to patients and their families. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to clinical guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications
- Skills in Speech, Speech Therapy, and Articulation
- Experience in Communication and working with Communication Disorders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a related field
- State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting is a plus
