The Administrative & Outreach Assistant supports the National Farmworker Jobs Program
(NFJP) by assisting with outreach, participant recruitment, intake, and administrative functions
directly related to program service delivery and compliance. This position plays a key role in
ensuring participants are effectively served and that program documentation meets federal
requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Outreach & Recruitment
- Conduct outreach to identify and recruit eligible farmworker participants
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating intake appointments
- Support participant enrollment and orientation activities
- Maintain communication with prospective and active participants
- Assist participants with completing intake and eligibility documentation
- Coordinate supportive services and training referrals
- Following with participants regarding program services and activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records
- Organize and maintain participant case files in compliance with NFJP requirements
- Enter and update data in internal systems (AVP/WIPS support)
- Assist in preparing documentation for program monitoring and audits
- Track participant services and supporting documentation
- Answer and direct calls related to participant services
- Coordinate with training providers and partners
- Assist with appointment reminders and scheduling
- Provide general administrative support directly related to program operations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with community outreach, customer service, or administrative support
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry systems
- Schedule: Part-Time (approximately 20–25 hours per week)
- Compensation: $21.00
- Location: Hartford, CT
