Summary
The responsibility of the Area Assistant House Coordinator will function as a primary support for the House Coordinator in the provision of residential services for individuals with intellectual disabilities at multiple CRS locations. The position requires organizational skills, proficient problem-solving and decision -making capabilities in the absence of the House Coordinator, and the capacity to work with developmentally challenged adults in a structured setting.
Duties And Responsibilities
The responsibility of the Area Assistant House Coordinator will function as a primary support for the House Coordinator in the provision of residential services for individuals with intellectual disabilities at multiple CRS locations. The position requires organizational skills, proficient problem-solving and decision -making capabilities in the absence of the House Coordinator, and the capacity to work with developmentally challenged adults in a structured setting.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist House Coordinator with oversight of daily program operations for a housing program servicing individuals with intellectual disabilities at multiple locations.
- Must be able to exercise efficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- An ability to calmly respond to crisis and emergency situations.
- An ability to effectively communicate with internal and external providers (included but not limited to; parents/guardians, DDS Case Management, residential, and day program provider, nursing staff and other service providers).
- Capacity to advocate in the best interest of the individuals being served.
- Knowledge of the Therap system is preferred.
- Assist with staff scheduling and delegation of daily transportation assignments.
- Assist with tracking and documenting fiscal expenditure.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education – High School diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in related field preferred.
- Knowledge of DDS systems.
- Must have valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
- Must have the ability to work in high stress/ high volume environment, while maintaining open communication with other components of treatment and operations.
- Knowledge of basic computer technology and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Medication Certification through DDS, First Aid, CPR, and PMT certifications must be acquired within three months of hire date and maintained throughout employment.
