Job Summary
Partners Excavating Co. is hiring an experienced Utility Foreman to lead underground utility crews on site-work construction projects.
We’re looking for a proven leader who knows how to safely and efficiently install water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems while keeping the crew productive and the job moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise underground utility crews
- Coordinate daily work, manpower, equipment, and materials
- Install water, sewer, and storm systems according to plans and specifications
- Read and interpret construction plans, grades, and utility layouts
- Coordinate with Superintendents and other crews on the jobsite
- Monitor production and help keep projects on schedule
- Enforce company safety requirements and maintain a safe worksite
- Inspect work for quality and proper installation
- Train, mentor, and hold crew members accountable
- Communicate material, equipment, and jobsite needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Utility Foreman or similar leadership role required
- Strong underground utility construction experience
- Working knowledge of water, sanitary, and storm installation
- Ability to read plans and understand grades/elevations
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 48.0 per week

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Crew Leader: 2 years (Required)
- Heavy Equipment Operation: 3 years (Required)
- Blueprint reading: 2 years (Preferred)
- Water, Sanitary, and Storm Line Installation: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- OSHA 30 (Preferred)
- VDOT Basic Work Zone Certification (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
