Duties
- Manage the overall operation of the care home, including staff supervision, resident care, and administrative functions
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to residents’ needs, including Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory care requirements
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal health regulation policies related to assisted living and home & community care regulations
- Supervise staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident records, incident reports, care plans, and regulatory compliance reports
- Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, healthcare financial management, and operational expenses to ensure sustainable facility operations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals like nurses and social workers to enhance resident well-being and coordinate health services effectively
Skills
- Personal care or assisted living experience required
- Proven record for opening new communities and strong sales skills for census growth
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in healthcare or residential settings
- Deep understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Competence in developing comprehensive care plans that address residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs
- Effective communication skills for engaging residents’ families, staff members, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies
