What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day-of Event Coordinator position at Parties On Purpose?
About the Role
Parties On Purpose is looking for an energetic, dependable, and hospitality-driven Day-of Event Coordinator to join our team on a part-time, contract basis.
We create elevated, thoughtfully designed events with an emphasis on exceptional service. We’re looking for someone who naturally goes above and beyond. The kind of person who notices what needs to be done, jumps in without being asked, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who works well under pressure, pays attention to the details, and brings a calm, positive attitude to every event.
Our event days can be busy, but our culture is positive, supportive, collaborative, and team-focused. We work hard, help one another, and have fun creating incredible experiences for our clients.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with event setup, styling, breakdown, and event-day execution
- Support the Lead Planner with on-site coordination
- Communicate professionally with clients, guests, vendors, and venue teams
- Provide exceptional hospitality throughout the event
- Anticipate needs and help solve unexpected challenges
- Assist with event hosting and guest experience
- Handle event-related errands or client requests as needed
- Maintain event spaces and ensure details remain polished
- Represent Parties On Purpose professionally and warmly
What We’re Looking For
- Weekend and occasional evening availability
- A passion for events, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Proactive mindset
- Dependable, organized, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with physical setup and breakdown
- Bonus points if you've read the book “Unreasonable Hospitality.”
You May Be a Great Fit If...
You’re naturally hospitable, love helping people, love parties and events, and take pride in creating special experiences for others.
We can teach many aspects of event execution. What’s harder to teach is hospitality, initiative, attitude, and heart.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
