Required qualifications/skills:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years’ direct experience working with vulnerable populations
- HMIS or similar client data system experience preferred
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office; office technology), organized filing, and data-compliance focus
- Ability to work afternoons/nights/weekends; walk the facility and lift up to 25 lbs
- Respect for Catholic Social Teachings and the mission of SVDP

A Typical Shift
You’ll arrive for an afternoon, night, or weekend shift, review what changed since the prior handoff, and set a calm tone as guests come in and settle. Between periodic walk-throughs inside and outside the shelter, you’ll check that shared spaces stay orderly and that guests have what they need to follow routines respectfully. During quieter stretches, you’ll focus at a workstation on timely HMIS updates and quick record checks, then pivot back to the floor as needs arise. By shift end, you’ll complete a final sweep, confirm the building is secure, and hand off clear notes so the next team member can keep the environment welcoming and consistent.
