Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Associate with packing expertise and forklift operation skills to join our dynamic distribution team. This role involves handling warehouse operations, order picking, and heavy equipment operation within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience, familiarity with OSHA standards, and the ability to operate various types of warehouse tools such as screw and nail guns, forklifts, pallet jacks, banding machines, tape machines, etc. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in warehousing, shipping & receiving, and materials handling to contribute to efficient warehouse operations.

Duties

• Perform order picking.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
• Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including verifying shipments and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance or report problems to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety standards at all times.
• Support warehouse distribution tasks such as stacking, storing, and moving materials efficiently within the facility.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet operational deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or related fields.
• Prior experience operating forklifts required.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to warehouse environments.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual materials handling safely.
• Experience with wrapping and banding pallets and other warehouse functions preferred.
• Previous warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

Other Duties:

This position will also be trained in our Wood Crating Department. You will learn to build our export wooden crates that our freight ships in. We will also train you in our Hazmat Materials Department to learn functions of identifying items that require certain labels, packaging, and documents.

We need someone who can get to work everyday and be on time (7:30-4)

We prefer our employees to have their own transportation and valid Drivers License.

There is potential for this position to be the backup driver if desired. DOT Card would be required and paid for by our company.
