PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
Schedule: Part Time 7:30am-4pm, Mondays and Fridays with approximately one weekend a month
Location: Henry Ford Genesys Hospital - Grand Blanc, MI
GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
- Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
- Document treatment interventions given.
- may coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy required.
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from an accredited college.
