FREELANCE VIDEO EDITOR (must be based in Los Angeles)
Part 4 is looking for a Freelance Video Editor to join our team. You’ll be an integral member of the video production team and manage projects for some of the biggest entertainment brands in the world. You are an excellent storyteller with a strong technical background and have a keen eye for detail & organization.You anticipate needs, find good communication invaluable, and multi-tasking energizes you to produce your best work. You also watch movies and TV more than others and are excited to share that passion with the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Manage video edits for multiple concurrent campaigns that include footage selection, rough cuts, audio editing, motion graphic placement, color correction, clip swaps, and finalizing for delivery to a variety of clients / vendors.
- Collaborate across a wide variety of teams including art direction, strategy, project management, and motion graphics to reflect the client’s vision and brand objectives; maintaining high creative standards, flawless execution and timely delivery are essential.
- Concept and edit video footage into cohesive and visually engaging stories, ensuring smooth transitions, proper pacing and future planning for visual effects / graphic incorporation.
- Troubleshoot and find timely solutions to support the needs of your projects.
- Stay up to date on the latest video editing trends, software updates, and industry best practices. Most notably, an interest in and understanding of the latest social trends is required.
- Independently prioritize tasks and meet all deadlines in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
- Work closely with art directors to ensure a seamless integration of visual elements into your video edits.
- QA all work before sending across to creative direction / production
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years working in a fast paced agency or creative client environment. Entertainment experience is a required.
- A strong understanding of video production techniques including footage selection, editing, color correction, audio mixing, and visual effects.
- A robust knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro with a working knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects is required.
- A strong sense of narrative structure, pacing, and visual storytelling techniques to create impactful and engaging stories.
- A developing understanding of copyright laws, licensing agreements, and intellectual property rights related to video and audio content.
- You strive to be the best in the business and possess strong collaboration skills, top notch communication, an excellent work ethic, a keen eye for detail, excellent organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Currently possess a positive attitude, desire to maintain healthy relationships, and are considerate, outgoing and flexible.
- Able to work occasional extended hours, including weekends, as required by deadlines
- Proven experience as an editor with an exceptional portfolio showcasing your video editing skills and creative storytelling abilities.
