Parsons is now hiring for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our DC office and work as a part of our amazing Transportation Group in our 2026 Internship Program!
Qualifications
Civil Engineering students nearing completion of undergraduate studies, or students currently enrolled in graduate studies are encouraged to apply. Students should have completed courses such as structural analysis, steel and concrete design, geotechnical engineering, etc. Applicants should include transcripts, a brief cover letter outlining your main areas of interest within civil engineering, and what skills and experiences you hope to gain through summer employment.

Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Compile data and perform design and quantity calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
- Become familiar with various standards and codes including AASHTO. Apply codes to check compliance of designs with applicable criteria.
- Use MicroStation to prepare engineering plans, sections and details starting from sketches and other general design information.
- Travel to constructions sites.
