Our team is looking for a software engineer that is in the early stages of their career and has basic experience developing software applications. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the development of critical mission applications within the Parsons Strategic National Solutions Directorate. You will work with software engineers and other engineering disciplines to create solutions for the Intel and Defense stakeholder community. What You'll Be Doing: Develop software that supports a microservice architecture Build backend services in Java SpringBoot Build front end UIs in Angular Build Docker containers Deploy to virtual machines in near-production environments Write unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests Adhere to the Scaled Agile Framework philosophy Work with your team to support the mission What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Understanding of object-oriented programming languages, software development lifecycles, and source code management tools Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS//SCI security clearance, plus a willingness to submit to a CI polygraph as required What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python, C , Bash) Experience working on an Agile software development team Understanding of relational databases and SQL Experience with Java Spring Boot, Angular, Docker, Kafka, or Jenkins Experience developing and deploying software in AWS cloud environments Security Clearance Requirement: None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
