What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Development Representative position at Parsec Automation?
We are looking for a passionate self-starter with experience in Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate a healthy opportunity funnel to support the company’s revenue goals. This is a highly visible position where excellent communication skills and experience in Marketing and Sales is required. To be successful in this role, you must enjoy discovering new opportunities and engaging with potential clients while moving leads through the sales pipeline. This is an inside role supporting Marketing with the focus on growth of new, global, business opportunities for Sales.
As an SDR, you will be expected to educate, answer questions, and send resources to potential customers. Every lead should be contacted and vetted to determine who stays and who is filtered out. As an SDR, you will be evaluated on the number of qualified leads that are moved through the pipeline.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Support the Marketing initiatives to drive demand and awareness through business outreach and lead development
2. Review new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, and screen potential business opportunities
3. Build rapport and establish long-term relationships
4. Identify and qualify opportunities by responding to inbound interests
5. Effectively convert Marketing Qualified Leads to Sales Qualified Leads
6. Effectively disperse, track, and manage conversion rates of Sales Qualified Leads and present reports to management
7. Clearly articulate Parsec’s value proposition of a productized solution across multiple verticals
8. Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies to support revenue targets
Key Requirements Include:
1. 3-5 years sales experience in an equivalent position with a track record of success
2. Deep understanding of the relationship between Marketing and Sales
3. Successful track record in B2B sales
4. Experience in research and use of B2B social media (e.g., LinkedIn)
5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
6. Excellent CRM system and Microsoft Office knowledge (Salesforce experience highly recommended)
7. Strong professional etiquette
8. Highly organized with attention to details
9. Team player with collaborative mentality
10. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field
