Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Knoxville, TN, for an Aquarium Service Technician. Responsibilities will include maintaining aquatic exhibits, ensuring the health and well-being of aquatic life, cleaning tanks, monitoring water quality, and performing routine maintenance on aquarium systems and equipment. The role will also require interacting with clients and ensuring a high standard of service and care.
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in aquarium maintenance, aquatics, and water chemistry
- Ability to assess and maintain the health and well-being of aquatic life
- Hands-on skills in using equipment, performing repairs, and maintaining tools
- Strong physical ability for manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and bending
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with precision
- Experience in handling aquatic organisms and familiarity with different aquatic species is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in aquatics or a related field, or relevant experience, would be advantageous
