Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving beverages, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for our guests in both fine dining and neighborhood bar settings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink selections.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service and compliance with legal regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
- Uphold high standards of food handling practices to ensure guest safety.
Skills
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and drink measurements.
- Experience with cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
- Familiarity with fine dining etiquette as well as nightclub service dynamics.
- Strong sales skills to promote drink specials and upsell menu items effectively.
- Previous bartending experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
