Gunsmith / Armorer / Firearms Technician

Schedule: 16-32 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Gunsmith / Armorer / Firearms Technician to join our firearms service department. This is an experienced-level position; the successful candidate must be able to independently perform routine firearm maintenance, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, disassembly/reassembly, and basic repair with minimal supervision.

This is not a trainee or apprenticeship position. Applicants should already have the practical knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to safely perform basic firearm service without step-by-step instruction. Training will be limited to shop-specific procedures, policies, and workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic gunsmithing, armorer services, firearm repair, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Safely disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and reassemble common firearms.
  • Install common firearm parts, components, sights, optics, and accessories.
  • Perform appropriate function and safety checks after service.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate professionally with customers.
  • Recognize when work exceeds your qualifications and refer it appropriately to the manufacturer.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area.
  • Follow all applicable firearms laws, ATF requirements, and company safety procedures.
  • Assist with general shop operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior hands-on experience as a gunsmith, armorer, firearms technician, or firearm repair technician required.
  • Working knowledge of common handgun, rifle, and shotgun platforms.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with gunsmithing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot routine issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and firearm safety awareness.
  • Must be legally eligible to work with firearms and pass required background checks.

Schedule

16–32 hours per week. Weekend availability may be required during store events.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
