Reports To:               Operations Manager

FLSA Status:               Exempt

Job Summary:           Employee in this role will be responsible for overseeing Parrish Tire Company’s feet of vehicles. This includes but is not limited to, ensuring efficient operations, maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations. 

Essential Functions and Tasks:

·        Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and replacement of vehicles, this includes ensuring all vehicles are in working condition and meeting all safety standards by NCDOT

·        Manage budget for vehicle repair, maintenance, and fuel consumption. Monitor expenses to ensure most effective ways to utilize budget

·        Assist locations managers with hiring, training and supervising drivers. This includes assisting with disciplinary actions regarding driving violations or unsafe operation of vehicles.

·        Ensuring company is complying with local, state, and federal regulations. Implementation of safety protocols and conduct regular safety training for drivers

·        Keeping upper management informed of driver violations and recommend disciplinary action, as needed

·        Maintain detailed records of vehicles. This includes servicing vehicles, inspections, repairs. 

·        Utilize fleet management software systems to track vehicle performance and maintenance schedules

·        Other duties as required or assigned to by manager

Qualifications:

·        High school diploma or equivalent

·        TIA, CM, CAFM – certifications are all strongly preferred

·        Background in Motive operation or related experience strongly preferred

·        2-4 years experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field

·        Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, maintenance and repair procedures

·        Strong project management, time management and analytical skills

·        Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skill

·        Ability to work independently, as well as cross functionally with other team members 

·        Ability to effectively communicate with others both orally and written

·        Great attention to detail

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·        Working knowledge of fleet management best practices

Required Physical Abilities:

Operate standard office equipment and keyboards

Oral Expression - communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand

Selective Attention - concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted

On occasion lift up to 25 pounds

Work Environment:

Majority of work will be performed in the office, but this person may be required to work in the warehouse/outdoors and travel minimally on occasion to other PTC or customer locations as needed to complete the daily responsibilities of this role.
