SUMMARY
Engages in collecting, calculating, posting, and verifying financial data for use in maintaining accurate accounting records by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares routine periodic reports and occasional special reports for the controller and executive vice president.
Assists in preparation of monthly corporate financial statements.
Assists with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as necessary.
Assists with daily banking transactions and related recordkeeping as necessary.
Assists with reports for annual audit of company’s accounts.
Assists with preparation and input of annual budgets.
Assists with maintaining fixed asset records.
Maintains Construction in Progress accounts and reconciles to the GL monthly.
Prepares and enters Journal Entries as needed.
Generates monthly commission reports and reviews for accuracy.
Prepares and files Sales, Use and Excise Tax reports for various states.
Prepares annual filings for various states in which company is registered.
Assists with updating sales tax percentages with various state, cities, and counties we conduct business in.
Provides monthly reports for inventory.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is done in a fairly open office with several people. The office is noisy at times due to the high volume of traffic and telephone calls.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university and two to five years related experience, preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point, and have a willingness to leave new software as needed.
