Position Summary
MaxServe Hospice is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our Dallas-based team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and supporting our mission through strong financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify vendor invoices, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions and reconcile inconsistencies
- Maintain up-to-date records of accounts payable and receivable
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash balances
- Prepare and analyze general ledger entries and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Assist with financial reporting and generate reports as requested
- Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit environments
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
- Familiarity with Bill.com is a plus
- Strong understanding of journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and banking processes
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Accounts receivable experience is helpful
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
