Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. The RBT will work directly with students, implementing individualized behavior plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is essential in supporting individuals with educational disabilities and behavioral challenges, fostering their growth and independence through effective behavioral therapy techniques.
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Educate students about behavioral strategies and techniques to promote positive behavior changes.
- Collect and record data on student progress, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the development of individualized behavior plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and special education.
Qualifications
-High School Diploma or GED
-Must have a minimum of 48 semester hours of secondary education or have passed the PRAXIS PARAPRO exam
-One or two years related experience working with students with disabilities is preferred
Must pass the written test or meet the educational requirements of the "No Child Left Behind Act"
-Ability to meet the requirements and apply for an Educational Aide Permit with the Ohio Department of Education
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is perferred however if you are interested in becoming an RBT we will train, maintain records and provide reimbursement for certification requirements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, families, and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards at all times.
- A background in special education or related fields is a plus.
