Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Engagement and Digital Marketing, the Senior Director serves as a strategic right hand to the SVP and a key leader across the Global Consumer Engagement function. This role provides day- to-day leadership across the entire brand portfolio, with responsibility for both established and future brands, while managing and developing a growing team of managers and a coordinator.
The Senior Director is a senior brand builder and operator with a highly hands-on, player–coach mindset, deeply embedded in the business and comfortable moving seamlessly between strategy and execution. This role requires active, day-to-day involvement across brands, brand partners, agencies, and internal teams to ensure work is moving forward with clarity, urgency, and excellence.
As an extension of the SVP, the Senior Director helps set the tone for the department, upholding company culture, driving alignment, and inspiring teams to deliver against ambitious business objectives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, can quickly assess situations, pivot as needed, and deliver thoughtful, solutions-oriented outcomes with speed and sensitivity. They are highly strategic, decisive, and calm under pressure, leading confidently through complexity and change.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a strategic partner and right hand to the SVP, supporting leadership, prioritization, and execution across the Global Consumer Engagement portfolio
• Lead day-to-day oversight of all brands within the portfolio, including onboarding and scaling future brand launches
• Maintain deep, hands-on involvement across brands and initiatives, balancing long-term strategy with real-time execution and problem-solving
• Develop and execute comprehensive consumer engagement strategies in partnership with the SVP to drive brand equity and revenue growth
• Directly manage and develop the Consumer Engagement team, including managers and a coordinator; foster strong team culture, accountability, and
professional growth
• Own day-to-day management of brand licensing partners and their respective teams; proactively manage workflows, timelines, and deliverables while providing
strategic guidance and leadership
• Lead Advertising and Public Relations agency relationships; develop briefing documents, guide media strategy, oversee pitching calendars, and ensure agencies deliver against business objectives
• Oversee social media and influencer marketing strategies, including proactive planning, negotiation, and execution of seeding and partnership efforts to elevate
brand visibility
• Manage department budgets in partnership with the SVP; oversee planning, tracking, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accuracy and fiscal discipline
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Creative, Digital, E-Commerce, and senior leadership to identify challenges, pivot quickly, and drive clear, actionable
solutions
• Oversee creative needs and content production, including agency selection, shoot planning, briefing documents, and execution support
• Partner with Digital Marketing and E-Commerce to guide paid media strategy,
establish KPIs, and oversee asset development, copy, and agency deliverables
• Lead with agility in a dynamic environment; anticipate change, adapt quickly, and guide teams through shifting priorities with clarity and confidence
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10 years of progressive experience in consumer marketing, ideally within beauty, fragrance, fashion, or lifestyle brands
• Proven ability to operate as a hands-on, player–coach leader, equally comfortable setting strategy and diving into the details
• Demonstrated success building and scaling premium brands; able to clearly articulate notable accomplishments and impact
• Experienced people leader with a track record of managing and developing managers and direct reports
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; confident presenter and senior-level collaborator
• Extensive experience managing advertising, media, influencer, and PR agencies, with strong industry relationships
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence decision-makers using data and strategic rationale
• Experience working closely with celebrity talent and their teams, with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
• Exceptional problem-solving skills; able to think quickly, remain composed, and
deliver smart, sensitive solutions under pressure
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable managing multiple brands simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, analytics platforms, and
marketing systems
