DISHWASHER

Based in the West Loop area, our new cutting-edge design, The Texan Taco bar, is an up-and-coming Tex-Mex inspired cuisine that offers remarkable service with 2 floors of dining experience, including a patio and retractable rooftop overlooking Randolph Street.  

Our ideal dishwasher will be responsible for the washing and sanitizing of all food service utensils and miscellaneous items such as plates, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, etc. Also responsible for assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the back of house area.  We are looking for passionate industry professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a clean, dry, orderly and safe work environment

• Wash, sanitize and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment, and other items placed in the dish area (or as requested by management or staff)

• Participate in food prep
• Clean pots and pans per health standards
• Comply with sanitation standards
• Follow operating procedure in handling and taking out garbage as well as maintenance of the garbage dumpster area
• Maintain sink area

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays 
• Operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies 

• Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent backup of dirty dishes, glasses, etc. 
• Return/restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing procedures are completed 
• Identify cleaning supplies and their specific uses and notify management when supplies are running low and need to be replaced 
• Assist with general cleanliness of the back of house and restrooms 
• Be proficient in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment 
• Other duties will be assigned on an as needed basis

REQUIREMENTS

• Endure in various physical activities like reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing and moving about facility
• Ability to stand approximately 90% of workday and freely access all areas of the locations
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment
• Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, use stairs, finely manipulate and key in data
• Sunday availability
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
