ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Located in the heart of the West Loop, Wicker Park, and River North, Parlor’s menu features fresh, local ingredients for brunch, lunch, dinner, and late-night service.  Our ideal Assistant Director of Operations must be committed to supporting an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative culture. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works closely with the restaurant management teams to ensure the restaurant's quality, including the beverage, food, service, and physical structure.
• Responsible for developing a cohesive team of managers, chefs, and staff in each of the restaurants.  
• Execute and deliver consistent and successful new store openings as planned
• Monitoring trends in all areas from sales to costs, cover counts, etc. and proactively reporting on such to Executive teams
• Drive teams to ensure staffing, training, and restaurant needs are in place to support the business's operational needs.
• Oversee new restaurant openings from construction to opening
• Be proactive, pay attention to the details, and enable teams to make smart and timely decisions. Stay on top of many moving pieces without letting anything drop
• Possess a working knowledge of all systems used within our Company.

REQUIREMENTS

• You can identify a problem and determine the solution
• 4 years of experience
• You have experience coordinating and leading multiple projects simultaneously
• You have solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
• You are diplomatic and professional when handling guest and team member issues
• You have a passion for collaborating with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You can hold others accountable
