What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Parlor Hospitality Group LLC?
BARBACK
Located in the heart of the West Loop, Wicker Park, and River North, Parlor’s menu features fresh, local ingredients for brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night service. Our ideal barback must be observant, team player, quick, and efficient who can work with others to ensure that customers receive excellent service. We are looking for passionate industry professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining constant communication with the Bar Team, keeping tabs on where each of your bar patrons are in their meal.
- Performing serving, cleaning, or stocking duties to facilitate customer service.
- Maintaining overall cleanliness of the bar while guests are dining.
- Assisting with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar and ensuring that bartenders have clean glassware, towels, etc.
- Assisting with polishing when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of full service and high volume barback experience
- Should have working knowledge of food, wine, beer, and liquors
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours or as needed
- Aloha POS and Open Table knowledge is a plus!
- A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
- Must have a great sense of hospitality and understand how it impacts on our business
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
