Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Parlor Doughnuts in Saint Augustine Beach, FL. As the Asst. Manager, you will assist in overseeing all aspects of the doughnut shop's operations, with a strong emphasis on customer service. Opportunities for growth within our franchise system as the Broward County territory is developed. Expenses paid and will be required to attend training at Parlor Doughnuts Corporate Headquarters in Indiana prior to assuming role.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns, and ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
- Train and develop a team of employees to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the shop.
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, including the display and presentation of doughnuts and other products.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among employees.
- Monitor and analyze sales and financial reports to identify trends, implement strategies to drive sales growth, and maximize profitability.
- Assist in Developing and executing marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones, utilizing both online and offline channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to drive customer traffic and increase brand awareness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competition to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Cultivate Parlor’s mission and values.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Manager or similar role in the food service industry. Doughnutshop, coffee shop, or bakery experience desired but not required.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Able to work a 40 hour week, weekend availability, some early morning (5:00 am) availability
