Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed Summer Lead Instructor Arts and Enrichment (seasonal)
Job Summary:
$21/hour
We are seeking Lead Instructors to teach our summer arts and enrichment programs! All classes are predesigned with a curriculum and activity schedules provided for each day. Participants are mixed-aged elementary students. Topics include slime, space, dinosaurs, fashion, Harry Potter and more! Classes run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Flexible scheduling includes mornings, afternoons or full days!
Responsibilities include parent communication before and during the program, leading and facilitating activities following a pre-created curriculum, classroom management, behavior management and more. A perfect opportunity to gain classroom experience in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Ideal candidates are 18 years or older with experience leading children in a classroom or summer camp environment required.
Skills:
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude, encouraging and patient with participants
- Position involves frequent bending, pulling, pushing, sit, talk, hear, walk, standing and reaching
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite software applications
