Community Ed Operations Specialist (full-time)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Operations Specialist of Business Affairs to join our operations team and help support the Community Ed department. The Community Ed office is located on the campus of Ellisville Elementary in Ellisville, MO. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service to internal and external audiences is required. A high school diploma or GED is required. Minimum three years of experience providing support to an organization preferred.

Starting salary: Based on experience starting at $18.19/hour plus benefits and retirement.

Building/district: Community Ed

Work Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Starting date: July 1

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide support for the integrated operations needs of the Community Education department (customer success or business affairs) while working as a team member to implement departmental goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Community Ed programs and services.
  • Provide support to internal and external customers and Community Ed staff as needed, in order to ensure effective operation of programs.
  • Responsible for documenting essential program information, maintaining databases, producing reports, and other moderately complex tasks.
  • Effectively utilize the registration management system to support customers and staff as needed.
  • Work in a cross-functional team-based environment and collaborate with others in setting goals and problem solving.
  • Provide service in a courteous, prompt, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned responsibilities.
  • Follow established work procedures and schedules for the office.
  • Assist with preparation of department events and attend events as needed (i.e. Summer Expo, district events, coaches meetings, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Represent the Community Education department in the most positive manner with internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment, maintain attitudes of respect, assistance, honesty and resourcefulness.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment, initiative, organizational and problem-solving skills for the successful operation of programs and services in an environment of frequent interruptions.
  • Develop strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills that ensure consistency in operational processes, communication, and reports.
  • Ability to establish and execute priorities with minimum direction or instruction.
  • Ability to access all locations in the Parkway and Rockwood School Districts.
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift and manipulate equipment, supplies and mail.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
2. Minimum three years’ experience providing support to an organization preferred.
3. Excellent communication skills and proven success providing quality customer service.
4. Proven skill in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing assignments with attention to detail and deadlines.
5. Proficient in MS Office and Google software applications.

EQUIPMENT USED:
General office equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Within assigned building(s)
  • Locations throughout the Parkway and Rockwood School District.
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, stand and reach.
