Licensed Practical Nurse 3/11, 11/7

We are an 87 bed skilled/long term care facility in Canton, MS. Parkway Health and Rehab is located just off the Nissan Parkway next to UMMC Madison. We are looking for quality LPNs FULL TIME on our 3/11, and 11/7 shifts to join our team and be a part of this exciting opportunity to serve our residents in this modern new facility.

Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurses:

• MS Licensed Practical Nurse (Unrestricted)
• BLS certification

Responsibilities and Duties for Licensed Practical Nurses:

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered
• Takes vital signs
• Provides information regarding changes in Residents’ progress to the RN Supervisor
• Stock and prepare medication cart for rounds
• Charts Residents’ progress, ailment, medication, symptoms, incidents and observations
• Schedules and provides treatments as recommended by Physician and at a time convenient for the Resident
• Assists with Resident ADL Care as required
• Performs physical observations of Residents and reports to RN; documents findings in medical record
• Receives and records Physicians’ Orders in medical record; ensures compliance with Physician’s Orders
• Communicates with other Departments to adequately meet Residents’ needs
• Assists in Infection Control monitoring; complies with Universal Precautions and Isolation Procedures
• Observes, monitors, instructs and supervises Nurse Aides
