What you’ll be doing:
Under the direction of the Business Operator/Owner, you will lead by example, and imprint on your team, relational excellence with our clients and compassionate animal care for their pets. You will make it your mission to ensure every touch point with a client goes beyond their expectations.
Activities include, but are not limited to:
· Quickly, professionally, and thoroughly responding to client inquiries
· Proactively managing and maximizing the schedule of multiple groomers and boarding kennels
· Seamlessly juggling multiple phone lines, inboxes, and text messages
· Constantly monitoring the client flow through the Boarding and Grooming Department from initial inquiry, to booking, to checkin/checkout; ensuring that no client is left unattended or uneasy of next steps
· Inspecting the work of your team to ensure excellence is being delivered at every turn
You will also serve as an active participant in animal husbandry: laundry, cleaning kennels, feeding pets, walking pets
What you’ll bring:
- 2 years of leading a team of at least 5 people in an in-person, service provider setting.
o Service based industries like veterinary/boarding/grooming, spa/salon, medical or fitness are highly preferred
o Must be technologically savvy with proven ability to manage multiple phone lines, inboxes, and sms communications and lead a team that can do the same
- A customer-centric mindset; desire to go the extra mile to help a pet parent in need
- Ability to interact and communicate (verbally and non-verbally) with professionalism, empathy, and respect both with clients and team members
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a sometimes stressful environment with evolving priorities
- Strong sense of personal accountability and reliability
- Attention to detail
