Duties
- Plan, organize, and lead diverse recreational activities that cater to residents’ interests, abilities, and health conditions
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, dressing, and personal care when needed
- Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to develop personalized activity plans for residents with memory care needs or disabilities
- Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure timely execution of programs and events
- Foster social engagement by encouraging participation in group activities, games, outings, and special events
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents during activities, promoting a positive environment
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activity feedback, and progress reports to inform care plans
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly desirable
- Strong background in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior care services
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and aging issues counseling
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in home & community care settings is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents and collaborate with team members
- Ability to assist residents with ADLs and manage schedules efficiently
- Compassionate attitude combined with patience and adaptability to meet diverse resident needs

Pay: $14.00 - $14.25 per hour
