Parkview Medical Center is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist for the new Parkview Pueblo West Surgical Department in Pueblo West, CO.

Short Description

As a Certified Surgical Technician (CST), you will be responsible for preparing and assisting with each surgery scheduled for the day. This is a Full-Time, Day shift position scheduled Monday through Friday.

Parkview Medical Center is preparing to open our newest facility, Parkview Medical Center – Pueblo West, in September! Our Orthopedic Surgery suite is state-of-the-art and will be one of the most technologically advanced facilities in Southern Colorado. In part with your fellow teammates, you will be responsible for setting up all needed instruments for the scheduled procedure. In addition, you will also be responsible for the breakdown and cleaning of the operating room, in preparation for the next case.

CST Roles & Responsibilities

• Understand who our customers are and what our customers expect of us.

• Be the first to respond to any customer request or need.

• Support other members of the work team in meeting customer needs

• Be accountable for the technical and behavioral competencies of the job

• Surgical scrub for all operative procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CST experience preferred.
• If the job requires driving for Parkview, the employee must have a current Colorado driver’s license, may need to be 21, and may need to submit proof of insurance coverage.

Education

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• AAS degree in Surgical Technology through an AMA approved school or recognized program of study by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Certification

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) is required at hire or within 6 months of hire, transfer, or promotion.

Registration

Current Colorado Registration is required.
