What You’ll Do:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), your day will be filled with meaningful interactions and the chance to make a lasting impact on residents’ lives. Key responsibilities include:
- Direct Care: Administer medications, treatments, and physician orders, and take full responsibility for resident care.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with physicians, supervisors, and families to ensure the best care for residents.
- Assessment & Supervision: Complete resident assessments and supervise LPNs in gathering important data.
- Workforce Coordination: Partner with the Director of Nursing to manage special care needs, resident transfers, and staffing workload.
- Admissions & Family Involvement: Plan for resident admissions, involving families in the care process.
- Comfort & Support: Provide emotional and physical comfort to residents, offering families the support they need.
- Leadership: Supervise and guide Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), supporting their development and ensuring top-quality care.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Graduate of a state-approved nursing program
- Current Iowa RN license
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Excellent attendance and reliability
