What You’ll Do:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), your day will be filled with meaningful interactions and the chance to make a lasting impact on residents’ lives. Key responsibilities include:
Direct Care: Administer treatments and physician orders and take full responsibility for resident care.
Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with physicians, supervisors, and families to ensure the best care for residents.
Assessment & Supervision: Complete resident assessments
Workforce Coordination: Partner with the Director of Nursing to manage special care needs, resident transfers, and staffing workload.
Admissions & Family Involvement: Plan for resident admissions, involving families in the care process.
Comfort & Support: Provide emotional and physical comfort to residents, offering families the support they need.
Leadership: Supervise and guide Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), supporting their development and ensuring top-quality care.
What You Need to Succeed:
Graduate of a state-approved nursing program
Current Iowa LPN license
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Excellent attendance and reliability
