What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCI Infusion/Rad Onc Scheduler position at Parkview Health?
Summary
Conducts professional patient interviews, including triaging phone calls and obtaining demographic and biographical information. Functions as a point of contact for interactions with care team members and patients. Enters all appropriate scheduling information into the Parkview Health Scheduling system and is responsible for data integrity in all systems utilized for job functions. Requests and identifies all necessary records so that they are available to the physicians for the stated diagnosis as well as assuring that the patient is scheduled with appropriate clinical staff for this diagnosis. Is responsible for the delivery of quality performance, service excellence, and adheres to the Parkview Health Standards of Behavior.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Medical Terminology preferred.
Licensure/Certification

Experience
Minimum of 2 years clerical experience, including proficiency of Microsoft Windows. Requires a minimum of 2 years customer service. Mandatory computer key boarding skills, ability to operate standard office machines and equipment such as multi-line phone, calculator, photo-copier. Experience in Windows based PC skills required.
Other Qualifications
Demonstrates basic knowledge and use of internet. Medical Terminology preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must attend the required Patient Access Services training class; and must pass the test upon completion with a score of 90% or better. If the applicant scored between 80%-89% on the test, they will be able to retake the test once more. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrate ability to work independently using critical thinking skills. Requirements include the ability to listen effectively and multi-task in a fast paced environment; typing, problem solving, trouble shooting, and time management skills. Must be able to adapt to constant change and perform in a stressful environment.
