Mental Health Therapist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling services to clients with a wide range of mental health needs. This role requires a strong commitment to the well-being and care of our clients, as well as a deep understanding of the therapeutic process and its applications.

Duties

- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clients' unique needs and circumstances.
- Collect and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Utilize medical terminology and ICD-9 coding to document clients' conditions and treatment outcomes.
- Provide direct support to clients with developmental disabilities, offering a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
- Offer counseling services focused on gender issues, including gender dysphoria and sexual orientation.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of mental health therapy and its applications.
- Ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds, including working people and those with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and data collection procedures.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and ICD-9 coding.
- Experience in individual and group counseling, including gender issues counseling.
- Commitment to maintaining a therapeutic and supportive environment for clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
