Housekeeping Aide

Position: Housekeeping Aide
Facility: Parkview Care and Rehabilitation Center
Position Type: PRN (As Needed)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19.65 per hour

Key Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. R

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and dust floors throughout the facility.

• Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, resident beds, and furniture.

• Vacuum and dust equipment, computers, and phones.

• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, nurses’ stations, visitor bathrooms, and nourishment/medication refrigerators under nursing supervision.

• Empty wastebaskets regularly and ensure areas are stocked with necessary supplies.

• Perform high-dusting, deep cleaning, and special cleaning projects as needed.

• Assist with preparation for inspections and regulatory audits.

• Report maintenance and repair needs promptly.

• Follow all safety procedures, infection control protocols, and dress code policies.

• Assist with the orientation of new staff and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

• Respond to pages and perform emergency duties when necessary to support resident care and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare field; nursing home experience preferred.

• Skills: Knowledge of housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Additional Requirements: Ability to attend mandatory annual in-services and other assigned training sessions.
