Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing to meet each dog’s specific needs and breed standards
- Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures
- Assess each pet’s coat, skin condition, and overall health to identify any issues requiring veterinary attention or special care
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas to uphold health standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming preferences, aftercare instructions, and pet behavior
- Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring a calm environment that minimizes stress for animals
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong knowledge of dog breeds and grooming techniques
- Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care best practices to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Ability to lift heavy objects such as tubs or equipment safely and comfortably during daily tasks
