Job Title: Cabin Inspector

Reports To: Quality Control Manager

Job Summary

This position is a detail-oriented and reliable Cabin Cleaning Inspector to ensure that all our vacation rental properties meet the highest standards of cleanliness and guest readiness. This role will involve inspecting cabins after cleaning to confirm that they meet company quality standards and providing feedback for improvements when necessary. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring a pristine and welcoming environment for our guests.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rate/salary [$16.00].

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect Cabin Cleanliness: Conduct thorough inspections of cabins after cleaning to ensure all areas (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, common areas) meet cleanliness standards.
  • Quality Control: Check for any missed cleaning tasks, issues with supplies, or maintenance concerns (e.g., stains, broken items, and safety hazards).
  • Report and Document: Provide detailed feedback to the cleaning team, including photos of any areas that need attention, and document findings in inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with the Parkside Team: Work closely with cleaning staff to communicate any deficiencies or necessary improvements, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly. Attend staff meetings and team training sessions to promote quality and efficiency.
  • Guest Readiness: Ensure that cabins are fully stocked with necessary amenities, linens, and toiletries before guest arrival.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor cleaning supplies and report low inventory, ensuring that stock levels are consistently maintained.
  • Maintain Standards: Follow Parkside Cabin Rentals protocols and quality standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety, making adjustments as needed to improve guest satisfaction.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure cabins are up to code in terms of fire safety, emergency exits, and other health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning, hospitality, or inspection-related role is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, able to identify cleaning deficiencies and areas needing improvement.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting issues and providing feedback.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple inspections and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Problem Solving: Able to identify problems quickly and suggest solutions or improvements.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and inspect cabins for extended periods; may require lifting or moving light furniture.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, or computers for reporting and communication.
  • Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to travel between cabin locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in vacation rental management or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with cleaning industry standards and best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of property maintenance or handyman skills.

Work Environment

  • This position requires travel to various cabin locations within a designated area.
  • Work is conducted primarily outdoors or in cabins, which may involve varying weather conditions.
  • Schedule flexibility may be required, including evenings or weekends, depending on guest bookings and cabin turnover.
