Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle service needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and basic inspections efficiently and accurately
- Upsell additional services such as air filters, wiper blades, or transmission fluid replacements to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
- Use estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools to identify necessary repairs or maintenance procedures
- Communicate clearly with clients about recommended services, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and trust
- Assist mechanics with basic repairs or diagnostics when needed, leveraging your mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, organize tools and supplies, and handle cash transactions accurately
- Stay updated on the latest automotive service techniques, industry standards, and dealership protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or in automotive repair with a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with estimating software, auto service management systems, and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge covering transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, and tire services
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about their vehicle needs
- Ability to perform oil changes, fluid exchanges, tire rotations, brake repairs, and other routine maintenance tasks confidently
- Dealership experience or collision repair background is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining a positive customer experience
- Cash handling experience is preferred but not required
