At Parks Hospitality Group, we are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations at the hotel, with a primary focus on evening (PM) shifts and supporting Soprana Rooftop Cucina. In this role, you will play a key part in executing high-quality dishes, leading the culinary team during peak dinner service, and ensuring consistency in both preparation and presentation. You will also help oversee kitchen staff, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of the culinary operation.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee food preparation and kitchen operations during service, executing menu items to Executive Chef specifications while ensuring consistent quality, flavor, presentation, and efficient team coordination.
- Supervise kitchen operations during service, coordinating team efforts efficiently.
- Monitor inventory, food storage, and ordering to maintain supplies and reduce waste.
- Enforce food safety and hygiene standards, conducting regular kitchen inspections.
- Actively work side by side with line cooks during service, frequently covering stations as needed to support operations, maintain standards, and ensure smooth service flow.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate on planning and execution of special events or menu updates.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained, reporting repair needs promptly.
- Lead efforts to deliver exceptional guest experiences, addressing feedback and resolving complaints.
What You’ll Need:
- 3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Culinary expertise with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage staff and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
