Responsibilities
The IAR Support Specialist is a key member of the advisory team, serving as the primary point of contact for clients while coordinating the operational processes that support financial planning, investment management, insurance, and retirement services. This role combines exceptional customer service with strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure clients receive a seamless experience from their first interaction through ongoing service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys building relationships while managing multiple priorities.
- Assist investment advisors with trade settlement processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution of transactions in accordance with industry regulations.
- Support compliance efforts by monitoring for fraud prevention and detection, adhering to securities law, financial regulations, and internal policies such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
- Manage cash flow and cash management activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing detailed spreadsheets for data analysis using Excel pivot tables and advanced functions.
- Collaborate with internal teams on business operations, including regulatory reporting, internal communication, and client account management.
- Utilize financial software and SQL databases to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and support investment decisions with detailed financial analysis experience.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of industry knowledge of financial regulations, securities law, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and governmental accounting standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating complex financial concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with banking regulatory standards.
