Job Summary
Parkman Recovery Center and First Step Recovery are currently accepting applications for various roles. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate CDCA, Client Care Specialist, Peer Supporters to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties:
- Conduct crisis intervention and manage urgent situations with calm professionalism and effective de-escalation techniques
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies through motivational interviewing and behavioral health guidance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless service delivery
- Document client interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems while maintaining confidentiality
- Mentor clients through recovery processes, offering encouragement and practical advice
- Support clients in navigating community resources, addiction counseling programs, and mental health services
- Provide treatment services consistent with CDCA/Peer Support scope of practice.
- May provide group, individual, case management and / or crisis intervention services under supervision.
- Shifts may be 12 hours.
- Monitor client drug screening and use of medications.
- Experience with recovering population preferred.
Skills
- Strong understanding of crisis management and crisis intervention techniques
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and mental health counseling strategies
- Experience with mentoring individuals facing mental health or addiction challenges
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing to foster client engagement and motivation
- Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills with an empathetic, active listening approach
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion
