Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, develop and implement operational policies and goals
- Drive operational discipline through strong leadership, team engagement and best practices with a focus on safety and customer first mentality
- Support vision of the organization by leading, developing and coaching employees, with an eye toward succession planning and managers’ people responsibilities
- Initiate operational systems improvement, processes and policies in support of organization’s mission--specifically, operational excellence, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning
- Drive initiatives in the operations that contribute to long-term operational excellence. Embraces technology to improve profitability and supports the necessary change management with such improvements
- Collaborates with teams to review numerous operating reports to determine what changes in operations are required
- Direct preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented
- Promotes the organization to the industry, trade associations, and within their communities
- Promotes and manages a positive and productive work environment working with the management team to provide clear communications and fair and timely evaluations of all team members
- Follows and enforce all Parkland USA’s policies and established procedures
- Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Parkland USA’s POEMS policies and procedure
- Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained
- Employee is expected to set priorities and meet deadlines. Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected. Employee is accountable for ensuring the technical accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to Parkland USA. Self-direction and motivation are also expected
- Must meet performance expectations. Must complete all duties as assigned
- Frequent travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Operations or related field
- 7 – 10 years’ experience in fuel/lubricant handling, deliveries and logistics
- Working DOT knowledge, HOS, Driver Qualifications, Heavy Duty Truck Fleet experience
- Proven skills in business, operations and fleet/logistics operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress, change and crisis situations
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize opportunities to improve the business results and/or profitability
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
