Parkinson Technologies, Inc., a leading designer, and manufacturer of large-scale web handling, winding, and plastics processing machinery, has an immediate opening for a assembly/electrical supervisor. The individual will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for all aspects of our assembly and electrical assembly departments.
Responsibilities
- Execute projects to budgets provided and hit schedule deadlines on all projects.
- Manage all aspects of machines being built and wired accurately to print.
- Facilitate positive and constructive interaction between engineering and assemblers.
- Able to make quick decisions on floor to keep project on schedule without compromise of design or budget.
- Review all print revisions and insure assemblers are following the most current.
- Assure all prints changes on the floor are then marked for correction and presented to engineering on a required basis.
- Generate all corrective actions related to mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Look for innovative ways to improve build times on the floor. Work with manager and engineering to implement.
- Report to purchasing, MFG, and project management daily on shortages and critical paths.
- Report production meetings and weekly schedule meeting with accurate data and constructive ideas on how to succeed.
- Maintain and order all consumables required for efficient build on the floor.
- Create accurate packing slips for domestic and international shipments.
- Provide actual shipping dimensions when needed.
- Supply skid dimensions to project management and our OSV supplier.
- Determine container layouts on international shipments.
- Organize and motivate resources for OT.
- Interview potential new resource candidates, and contribute to the hiring process.
- Train new hires on assembly procedures and safety guidelines… also orchestrate their training with experienced employees.
- Schedule and monitor vacation time for resources.
- Proof time sheets and supply to HR on daily basis.
- Generate ideas for continual improvement to keep resources busy between projects.
- React quickly to demands outside the department. This includes providing resources to the Lab, MFG, Key Filter, S&R, field service and building maintenance.
- Maintain a safe work environment and uphold safety guidelines on assembly floor.
- Work with S&R…. assuring all parts are accounted for in projects… and keeping inventory accurate.
- Work extra hours when needed…..weekdays, weekends and holidays included. This includes yearend inventory which normally lands on January 1st each year.
- Be approachable. This position requires interaction with many departments and people. Being a team player and staying positive is key.

Qualifications
- 5-10 years manufacturing experience
- Broad based Mechanic and Electrical knowledge experience a plus
- Strong leadership ability
- Ability to interface with people on all levels
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
