CHA- Shuttle Driver

Overview 

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing a friendly, courteous and prompt service to customers desiring transportation to and from the Airport and the parking lots. 

Key Responsibilities

• At the beginning of the shift, inspect the assigned shuttle according to the shuttle check list.  Check for damage, all equipment working, fuel, cleanliness, fluids, general safety, etc.
• Follow the assigned route and make each and every stop at the appropriate location.
• Operate wheelchair lift when needed.
• Follow all radio usage procedures.
• Greet each customer in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist customers with their baggage.
• Operate shuttle in a manner that complies with all applicable traffic laws.
• Refrain from initiating and engaging in conversations with passengers that may be interpreted as demeaning, confrontational, or abusive in nature.
• Do no perform any passenger pickups or drop offs outside of the airport property or that is not on the assigned route.
• Drivers will limit their interaction with customers off the premises of the Airport to common courtesies.
• Maintain a professional appearance. All employees will be expected to abide by the uniform policy.  
• Drive with utmost care, operating the customer’s vehicle safely and cautiously. 
• Other duties as assigned

• Requirements

• Be able to work any shift of the week
• Lift up to fifty pounds.
• Must have a clean driving record
• 1 year of previous experience is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to pass a background screening 
• Valid Driver’s License or CDL rated licensed as required
