Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing reconstruction projects from initial assessment through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards, often following property damage caused by events such as fire, water, storms, or other disasters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of reconstruction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Conduct site assessments and develop scopes of work based on damage evaluations
- Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Prepare and manage project budgets, estimates, and cost controls
- Schedule and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and labor crews
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates
- Handle permits, inspections, and required documentation
- Resolve issues, delays, or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction throughout the project
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in construction or reconstruction project management
- Experience in restoration/reconstruction (fire, water, storm damage) is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes is a plus
- Proficiency in project management and estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility)
- Experience using CRM systems for client and project tracking
- Valid driver’s license
