2ND SHIFT TEAM LEADER

Position Summary:    The Production Team Leader position requires a professional, organized individual with the ability to take ownership of new projects. This role requires management of multiple projects simultaneously, accuracy in daily work, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The Team Leader position requires a professional, organized individual with the ability to take ownership of new projects. This role requires management of multiple projects simultaneously, accuracy in daily work, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. In compliance with the company direction and to meet customer’s expectation, utilize up to 10 workers safely and efficiently to complete the work given for the shift.  

Qualifications (include but are not limited to):

• Good analytical skills; good written, and verbal communication skills
• Record of dependability and good attendance
• Work with a high degree of accuracy
• Must have safe forklift skills
• Strong leadership abilities and work well with all associates

Duties (include but are not limited to):   

• Lead Associates to ensure they are working in a safe manner
• Must be able to identify all parts, verify part numbers, and production numbers
• Verify, on a daily basis, that all fixtures are in good working condition (Quality) and that there are enough fixtures to perform the jobs efficiently (Quantity)
• Verify (setting and desetting) that all parts/loads are set and deset according to processing standards
• Verify and train all setters and desetters to be able to perform the setting and desetting function; also train them to look for bad parts, mixed parts, etc.
• Ensure that product is moved throughout the plant properly and timely
• Resolve and communicate any issues with Production Control, Maintenance, Furnace Operators, Engineering, and Managers 
• Ensure all checklists required are completed for the day
• Ensure that the PC Chart is followed each day
• Prepare area for the next shift
• Must be able to work overtime as requested
• Promote and implement 5S activities in all areas of the plant
