Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality speech therapy services across diverse settings. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work with children and occasionally adults, utilizing your expertise in speech, language, and communication disorders. You will assess, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans to help individuals improve their communication skills and enhance their quality of life. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric clients.
  • Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions across various settings such as schools, clinics, or via telehealth platforms.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while adhering to confidentiality standards.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, exercises, and strategies to support ongoing improvement at home or in daily activities.
  • Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology to ensure effective patient care.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in clinical environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience providing speech therapy services for pediatric populations with disabilities or developmental delays.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients addressing age-related communication or swallowing issues is a plus.
  • Proven ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop effective treatment plans aligned with best practices.
  • Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech production, swallowing mechanisms, and related functions.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology pertinent to speech-language pathology practice.

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,400.00 per week
