Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments on children and adults.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric clients.
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions in an in-person setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, exercises, and strategies to support ongoing improvement at home or in daily activities.
- Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to occupational therapy to ensure effective patient care.
Experience
- Experience working with children in clinical environments is highly preferred.
- Experience providing speech therapy services for pediatric populations with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Experience working with geriatric patients addressing age-related communication or swallowing issues is a plus.
- Proven ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop effective treatment plans aligned with best practices.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology pertinent to occupational therapy practice.
